Does a large corporate company own White N Wild?

We are a proud Canadian, family-owned small business.

Since 1989 we have employed and supported local individuals and families.

Should we tip our tour guide?

Our rates do not include gratuities, but cash tips are gratefully appreciated by our guides!

If you have enjoyed your tour guide, then please feel free to pass on any gratuity you feel is appropriate.

Canadian 🇨🇦 or American 🇺🇸 currency is accepted.

Do you have a washroom on site?

We have a men’s and a ladies washroom in our office.

What are the minimum ages or weight limits for drivers and passengers?

*We require all drivers to be at least 16 years of age, with a valid driver’s licence equivalent to a Canadian Class 5.

You must be able to handle a snowmobile safely and efficiently.

Experience with motorbikes, quads and  jet-skis is helpful.

*We require all passengers to be at least 5 years of age.

*There is a maximum allowed  combined weight  for each snowmobile  of 425 lbs or 193 kg.

Do you take a damage deposit at the time of booking?

No, a damage deposit is not required. You may find this may be the case with other operators, but we do not  pre-authorize a damage deposit on your credit card , though the customer is 100% responsible for any damage to the snowmobile, should an accident occur.

We do not get many accidents.

How do your Go Pro helmet camera rentals work?

It’s simple and reasonably priced!

You rent the Go Pro camera, film with it all day on your snowmobile tour, return the camera to us and just keep the SD card that you’ve filmed with. Go home and load your day’s adventure onto your laptop or computer!

The $42 rental fee includes  a Micro SD card with adapter that you take home with you!

How many people do we need for a group discount?

Get a group discount for  6 or more riders- $10 off per driver

Get a group discount for  8 or more riders- $15 off per driver

 

What do I need to wear?

We ask that you bring as much of your own gear of the following:

Fingered-gloves for drivers [mittens are fine for passengers] and ski-goggles or sunglassses. Dress  in  typical ski-wear- ski jacket and pants, snow boots or snowboard boots and warm base-layers.

Neck-warmers or infinity scarves are fine, but long scarves are not recommended.  We do have  boots [your own snowboard boots are fine too!]  helmets and even snowsuits for you to borrow! Our guides will check with you before we go on our trip to make sure you have everything to stay warm & dry!

*Please note: Ski helmets are not suitable, they must be DOT approved snowmobile helmets.

What is included in the price?

This tour includes the following in our prices:

Your guide, trail fees, fuel, oil, helmets, suits, boots [your own snowboard boots are fine too!]

As well as our famous homemade cookies and hot chocolate!

Gratuities are not included in our rates, and are greatly appreciated by your guides!

If you have appreciated your service, tipping is not expected but accepted gratefully!

What are the group sizes?

We keep our groups small- and run a  ratio of 6-7 machines to one guide.

Larger group sizes will usually  have 2 guides.

How long is the drive?

Always check with us to see if we are aware of any scheduled highway delays and always allow extra travel time during winter driving conditions.

Normal drive times to Golden from the following starting points:

Calgary: 3 hours

Canmore: 2 hours

Banff: 1.5 hours

Lake Louise: 1 hour

 

What happens if I crash my snowmobile?

If something should occur on your snowmobile tour, any damage to the snowmobile is the client’s responsibility.

Our guides will give you lots of snowmobile riding tips throughout the day to ensure that accidents are limited and everyone has a fun and enjoyable snowmobile tour!

Do I have to sign a liability waiver?

We reserve the right to alter daily itinerary or cancel any tour for any reason.

Anyone over 19  years of age must read,  fill out and sign a release of liability waiver prior to  the snowmobile tour.

Anyone under 19 years of age will be entered on the liability waiver of their accompanying parent/guardian.

What is the Payment and Cancellation Policy?

For bookings made online, payment is taken immediately, and in the case of a cancellation, a refund will be issued as per our cancellation policy window.

*Please note that a small cancellation fee will be applied for online bookings that are cancelled more than 48 hours from the tour start-time. [$10 per person]

We require  a minimum of 48 hrs notice for cancellations. Late cancellations are 100% non-refundable.

Groups of 10 or more must give 14 day’s notice and are subject to full payment for no shows.[non-refundable]

*Any tour that is cancelled within the 48 hour policy is 100% non-refundable.

If you check around and compare our policies with other companies, you will find ours to be very fair.

When do you operate your snowmobile tours?

  • We normally open in Late November and when conditions hold up,  we  hope to run tours well into April!

  • Tours run daily  at 9:15 am, 12:15 pm meeting times.[2:30 pm- when we are running Twilight Tours]
